About Stick Hero

Stick Hero (titled "Stick Soldier" in-game) is a one-touch bridge-building game set on snowy mountain cliffs. Your soldier stands at the edge of a precipice with nothing but a stick between him and the next platform. Hold your finger on the screen and the stick stretches out over the drop; release, and it topples down to form a bridge. Judge the length right and the soldier marches across; judge it wrong and there's no crossing to make. Your high score is saved between runs. It takes two seconds to learn and a lifetime of almost-right guesses to master.

Controls
Hold to stretch; release to drop the stick
Goal
Bridge the gap between cliff platforms
Record

How to play Stick Hero

  1. Press and hold the screen to stretch the stick (on desktop, click and hold).
  2. Release to drop the stick as a bridge to the next cliff platform.
  3. If the stick lands on the far platform, the soldier crosses and you continue.
  4. Each crossing builds your score — chase the HIGH SCORE shown on the title screen.

Stick Hero strategy and gameplay tips

  1. Estimate the gap first

Judge the gap, not the stick — measure the distance between cliffs with your eyes before you press, not while the stick grows.

  2. Land on the platform

Overshooting is as bad as falling short — the stick must land ON the far platform, not past its edge.

  3. Use a brief hold for short gaps

Tap quickly for close platforms — short gaps need barely a touch; holding out of habit is the classic way to die early.

  4. Calibrate your timing early

Calibrate on the first cliff — your first stretch teaches you how fast the stick grows; adjust every later hold to that feel.

Stick Hero FAQ

Is Stick Hero free?

Yes — free to play in your browser, no download or sign-up.

Why is it called "Stick Soldier" in the game?

That's the in-game title — the site lists it as Stick Hero; same game.

How do I control it?

Press and hold on touch screens (or click and hold on desktop) to stretch the stick; release to drop the bridge.

What happens if the stick is the wrong length?

Too short or overshooting the platform means no bridge — and no crossing.

Is my high score saved?

Yes — the title screen shows HIGH SCORE.

How is this different from Sticky Monkey?

Same hold-to-stretch bridge mechanic, different hero: a soldier crossing snowy cliffs instead of a monkey crossing rooftops.
