About Night Duck Hunt
Night Duck Hunt, titled Duck Hunter on its start screen, is a free browser shooting game with a carnival-style gallery. Ducks burst out of tall grass and cross a bright country sky while a hunting dog waits below to retrieve the birds you hit.
You have 3 bullets per volley and must hit at least 6 ducks to pass a round. Each successful hit adds points, with different ducks worth different amounts. The challenge is to meet the hit target without wasting your limited shots. Your top score is saved between sessions, giving you a record to chase when you return.

How to play Night Duck Hunt
- On a phone or tablet, turn the screen sideways. Drag the on-screen joystick to move the scope, then tap the fire button to shoot.
- On desktop, use WASD or the arrow keys to move the scope and press Space to shoot. These are the keyboard controls shown in the game's instructions.
- Watch the bullet indicator: you get 3 shots per volley. Line up the scope with a duck before firing, and use your remaining shots before the ducks fly away.
- Hit at least 6 ducks during the round to advance. The dog retrieves the ducks you shoot and their points are added automatically; you do not need to control the dog.
Aiming and ammo-saving tips
Track the duck before you fire
Watch its direction and move the scope toward the part of the screen it is crossing. Fire when the scope is over the duck; rushing a shot while the scope is still catching up wastes ammunition.
Treat each volley as three chances
After a miss, check your remaining bullets and realign the scope before shooting again. Rapidly spending all three shots leaves no chance to correct your aim.
Prefer ducks you can line up clearly
A duck crossing the central area gives you more room to track it than one about to leave the screen. Take the clear opportunity instead of chasing an awkward target at the edge.
Meet the hit quota before chasing points
Different ducks can add different scores, but the round target is at least 6 hits. When you are below that target, prioritize the duck you can hit reliably over a harder shot.
