About Ninja Rush

Ninja Rush is a free side-scrolling runner with an automatically moving ninja, rocky cliffs and wooden bridges above open water. The title screen calls it Ninja Run. Tap to jump between platforms and collect the gold coins along the route, keeping an eye on both the next landing and the bombs waiting ahead.

The challenge is to stay on solid ground while building your score through distance and coins. Falling into the water or touching a bomb ends the attempt, and the results panel shows Score, Coins and Distance separately. This version has a prize at the end of its course, so you can aim to finish the route as well as improve your result. An optional speed button lets you switch between normal and faster play.

How to play Ninja Rush

  1. Press the green play button to start. The ninja runs to the right automatically; you control when he jumps.
  2. Tap the playfield on a touch screen or click it with the mouse to jump. Let the ninja land before the next jump: this version does not provide a double jump to rescue a missed gap.
  3. Clear the water gaps between cliffs and wooden platforms, and jump over bombs. Look for enough solid ground on the far side before committing to a leap.
  4. Collect reachable coins as you go. Each coin adds 25 points, and each increment of the Distance counter adds 5 points. The star marks Score, the flag marks Distance and the coin icon marks Coins.
  5. Use the pause button when you need a break. The double-arrow speed button toggles faster play; start at normal speed while learning the route. After a failed attempt, the circular-arrow button restarts the run.

Jump timing and landing tips

  1. Choose the landing before the jump

Look beyond the gap for the next platform and any bomb on it. The wooden bridges and cliffs have different heights and widths, so a jump that clears the near edge still needs a safe place to land.

  2. Leave enough ground for takeoff

For a wider gap, wait until you are close to the edge so you keep more of the jump for crossing it. Leave a small margin to trigger the jump while still on the platform. Once you have fallen, a second midair tap will not give you a double jump.

  3. Use coins as clues, not guarantees

Coin arcs can help you spot a possible jump, but check the ground and hazards beneath them first. Skip a tempting coin if reaching it would leave you over water or bring you down onto a bomb. Distance contributes to the score too.

  4. Learn the route at normal speed

The speed button accelerates the action and leaves less real time to judge each landing. Practice the gaps at normal speed first. Retry a missed section with a slightly earlier or later jump instead of changing your timing and speed at the same time.

Ninja Rush FAQ

Is Ninja Rush free to play?

Yes. You can play in your browser without a download or sign-up.

Why does the title screen say Ninja Run?

Ninja Rush is the name used on ONLIGAME. The embedded game uses Ninja Run on its title screen; both names refer to the game on this page.

How do I control the ninja?

He runs automatically. Tap the playfield on a touch screen or click with the mouse to jump. The pause and speed buttons are separate controls near the upper right.

Can I double jump?

No. Double jumping is disabled in this version. Plan one jump with a clear landing, then jump again after returning to solid ground.

How are Score, Coins and Distance related?

Coins counts the gold coins collected, while Distance tracks progress through the run. Score combines them: 5 points per Distance increment plus 25 per coin. For example, Distance 11 and Coins 3 give a Score of 130. The results panel lists all three totals.

What ends a run, and is there a finish?

Falling into the water or touching a bomb ends the attempt. There is also an end-of-course prize that triggers a completion result, so this version has a finish rather than an endless route.

What does the double-arrow button do?

It switches between normal and faster play. Faster play gives you less time to react, so normal speed is useful for learning where to jump.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Tap to jump, and turn your phone sideways for a wider view of the route. The page's Fullscreen button gives the game more space; the player scales the complete game view to fit. Desktop players can use the mouse.
