Fruit Snake
About Fruit Snake
Fruit Snake gives the classic fruit-collecting game smooth, curving movement across a bright orange field. Hold left or right to turn the moving snake toward food. Each fruit increases the score and lengthens the body, making the next turn harder to plan.
The run starts with 30 seconds and three lives. Eating fruit adds time and slightly increases movement speed, so a run can continue beyond the initial countdown. Contact with your own body costs lives; keep enough room to turn as the tail grows.

How to play Fruit Snake
- Start the game, then hold a left or right control to curve the snake. Desktop players can use the Left/Right arrows or A/D.
- Steer the head into fruit to collect it. Each fruit adds one to the score, grows the snake and supplies a time bonus.
- Avoid crossing through your own body. Self-contact reduces the life total, so move out of danger rather than remaining overlapped with the tail.
- Keep collecting fruit while protecting your remaining lives. The run ends when the time or lives run out.
Practical tips for Fruit Snake
Start turning before the target
The snake follows a curve rather than making an instant grid turn. Begin steering early enough to bring its head through the fruit.
Plan an exit after each fruit
Check where the snake will go after eating. A fruit beside your body may leave too little room for the next turn.
Keep a broad turning area
As the body grows, tight loops become harder to escape. Use open space and avoid tracing repeated circles over the same patch.
Use nearby fruit to recover time
Fruit extends the countdown, so prioritize a reachable target with a safe exit. A distant fruit is less useful if reaching it costs a life or uses all the remaining time.
Fruit Snake FAQ
Is Fruit Snake free?
Yes. Play in your browser without a download or sign-up.
How do I steer?
Hold the left/right screen buttons, or use Left/Right or A/D on desktop. The controls curve the moving snake.
Is every run exactly 30 seconds?
No. The countdown starts at 30 seconds, and collecting fruit adds time.
Does one collision end the run?
You start with three lives. Contact with your own body costs lives; losing them all ends the attempt. Running out of time also ends it.
Does the snake get faster?
Yes. Each collected fruit slightly increases its movement speed as well as adding a body segment.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes. Use the touch controls; landscape orientation gives the field more room.
